Curriculum: Junior school syllabus, including Science, Languages and Computer Literacy. Individual tuition is available for musical instruments: piano, woodwind and guitar. There is a thriving music group.
Reports and Consultation: Reports are issued in December and July. There are Parents' Evenings each term, but there is regular, less formal liaison between parents and staff.
Leavers: Pupils are prepared for selective entry to grammar school and to independent day and boarding school.
Activities include Drama and competitive verse- and prose-speaking.
Religious Services: There is a daily assembly which all pupils attend.
Sport: A wide range of sports is taught, including cricket, soccer, rugby, hockey, golf, lawn tennis and athletics. Indoors, badminton and short tennis are taught. The school has its own sportsground.
Comments: The school, which is privately owned, is over 100 years old and enjoys a good local reputation. The premises have recently been extensively modernised.
